Westquay’s outdoor event space, The Esplanade, is perfectly located against a stunning backdrop of the historic city walls of Southampton. Westquay hosts a year-round programme of events from ice rinks and mazes to the dazzling Festival of Light.
Festival of Light is an important annual event for Westquay.
Festival of Light uses experiential and interactive light displays to excite and engage. The installations not only make an impression with visitors, they also have an impact online – the event’s social media content reaches over 1.1m people.
SKATE is one of Westquay’s yearly returning events.
The seasonal event, featuring a 900 sq m ice rink, attracts over 45,000 visitors every year. Perfect for a date, a fun family day out or a memorable visit with friends – ice skating at Westquay is a brilliant winter’s treat for all ages.
