UK’s Most Immersive Dessert Boutique Opens Brand New Store in Westquay Shopping Centre
Hans & Gretel, London’s most magical dessert emporium, offering sweet treats with extra flair and creativity, is set to open their newest UK location in Southampton, at the famous Westquay shopping centre on 7th April 2023.
Their 4th UK location in just 4 years, Hans & Gretel also have stores in Corfu, Dubai, Turkey, Israel, Athens and further afield. Joining a whole host of dining options at Westquay Shopping Centre, Laura Read, General Manager of Westquay said ‘’We’re delighted that Hans & Gretel has chosen Westquay to open its first store outside of London, further demonstrating that Westquay is a popular destination for attracting new brands to the region. Many of our customers have a sweet tooth and having seen the desserts on offer, we know that the concept will be a hit with visitors of all ages’’.

Tap & Tandoor to opens third site in Westquay
Award winning independent gastropub are set to open their third restaurant this Spring. Tap & Tandoor, which launched in the West Midlands in June 2018 with a second site in Peterborough in July 2019 will open a 120 cover gastro pub in the city’s Westquay Shopping Centre. Tap & Tandoor will be Westquay’s first Indian offering and specialises in craft beer, cocktails and home-style curries such as Butter Chicken and their popular mixed grill which is a selection of prime cut meats cooked over charcoal. A vegetarian and vegan mixed grill platter is also available. There will be a complete refurbishment of the former Cau restaurant, with the design mixing the comfort and warmth of a traditional British pub with a touch of Indian heritage, providing space for up to 120 drinkers and diners.
Laura Read, General Manager, Westquay said: “Indian cuisine has long been the nation’s favourite food, so we’re really excited to welcome Tap & Tandoor, an independent Indian gastro pub. We’re certain our shoppers will love the unique food and drinks offering. This is just the first of a number of new brands and concepts we have lined up for 2023.”

Sweaty Betty comes to Westquay
Customers at Westquay have a new reason to kick start their New Year health regime this month with the arrival of Sweaty Betty, which opens on 21st February.
The global activewear and lifestyle brand is bringing its collection of multi-sport activewear including its famous bum-sculpting leggings and performance pieces for running, yoga and swimming to Southampton for the first time.
As part of the grand opening, the first 50 customers will be treated to an exclusive giveaway, which is sure to inspire new fitness goals with Spring fast approaching.

Athleisure brands continue to be amongst the top performing categories across retail and leisure destinations, so having a household name with an international following such as Sweaty Betty is a real coup for us.
